Top Performing Leveraged/Inverse ETFs Last WeekThese were last week’s top performing leveraged and inverse ETFs. Note that because of leverage, these kinds of funds can move quickly. Always do your homework.1. BOIL – ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas
BOIL, the natural gas ETF, topped the top-performing leveraged ETFs list and gained more than ~35% in the last week. US natural gas prices are rising, supported by strong export demand, shrinking regional stockpiles, and U.S.-Canada trade concerns that raised supply risk.
2. MSFU – Direxion Daily MSFT Bull 2X Shares
MSFU provides 2x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for shares of Microsoft stock, ranked second on the top performing levered ETFs’ list last week. Microsoft’s cloud business shone brightly this quarter, with Azure leading the pack among major providers. Its revenue surged by 33% year-over-year, boosted significantly by AI services.
3. FBL – GraniteShares 2x Long Meta Daily ETF
FBL provides 2x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for shares of Meta Platforms and was one of the top leveraged ETFs with ~18.5% gains in the last week. Meta is doubling down on AI. Underscoring its strong commitment to AI, Meta has increased its capital expenditure forecast for 2025, now expecting to spend ~$68 billion.
4. FLYU – MicroSectors Travel 3x Leveraged ETN
FLYU tracks 3x of the daily price movements of an index of US-listed travel-related companies, was a contender on the list of leveraged ETFs last week. Stocks rallied, fueled by strong monthly employment figures and reports of China considering trade discussions with the U.S. Airlines segment increased by ~9% in the last five days
5. TPOR – Direxion Daily Transportation Bull 3X Shares
The TPOR ETF, which tracks the performance of companies involved in road, rail, air travel, marine transport, air freight, and logistics, returned ~16% in the last week amid positive monthly employment data and news of potential U.S.-China trade talks. Road & rail, airlines, air freight, and logistics all clocked gains in the last five days.
6. DUSL – Direxion Daily Industrials Bull 3X Shares
DUSL, which provides 3x leveraged exposure to an index of US industrial companies featured on the top performing levered/ inverse ETFs list as the industrials sector gained ~4% and was the second best performing sector in the last week, amidst strong quarterly results from key companies, and increasing optimism that the Trump administration might ease its tariff stance.
7. WEBL – Direxion Daily Dow Jones Internet Bull 3X Shares
WEBL, providing 3x leveraged daily exposure to an index of the largest U.S. internet companies, was present on the list with ~13% returns in the last week as internet stocks got a boost from strong performance in the technology sector and AI spending. Major tech companies like Microsoft and Meta allayed fears that artificial intelligence development would decelerate amid economic turmoil.
8. DFEN – Direxion Daily Aerospace & Defense Bull 3X Shares
This ETF that aims to triple the daily return of an index of defense industry stocks was one of the top performing levered ETFs last week as defense stocks gained on the back of Bombardier resuming its 2025 earnings guidance, thanks to its diverse revenue streams navigating economic uncertainty.
The aerospace & defense sector rose by 3% in the last five days.
9. DPST – Direxion Daily Regional Banks Bull 3X Shares
DPST, which provides 3x leveraged exposure to an index of US regional banking stocks, was one of the top-performing levered ETFs following the broader market rally in the earnings season, and as investors’ risk appetite revived.
10. HIBL – Direxion Daily S&P 500 High Beta Bull 3X Shares
The HIBL ETF provides 3x daily leveraged exposure to a beta-weighted index of the 100 highest-beta stocks in the S&P 500. S&P 500 is buoyed by strong earnings and a perceived softening of Trump’s tariff stance.
