ETHU ETF, which aims to provide 2x the daily price movements of Ether, topped the leveraged ETFs list with ~17% weekly gains. Ether ETFs have surged in popularity following Trump’s pledge to ease crypto regulations. Ether ETFs are experiencing record daily subscriptions, indicating growing investor interest.
2. ETHT – ProShares Ultra Ether ETF
ETHT, which tracks twice the daily price movements of an index that measures the price of Ether, ranked second on the list. The price of ether hit a high, driven by positive regulatory expectations under the new Trump administration and strong inflows into Ether ETFs.
3. BZQ – ProShares Ultrashort MSCI Brazil Capped ETF
The BZQ ETF offers a good way to play the bearish short-term outlook for Brazilian large-cap stocks. This inverse ETF returned more than 14% in the last week. Brazil’s market decline is part of a broader sell-off in emerging markets, driven by Donald Trump’s election, and expectations of rising global interest rates and a stronger US dollar.
4. TMF – Direxion Daily 20+ Year Treasury Bull 3X Shares
Direxion Daily 20+ Year Treasury Bull 3X Shares, which tracks the NYSE 20 Year Plus Treasury Bond Index, was also on the list of top-performing levered/ inverse ETFs. US 10-year Treasury yields fell to a two-week low as bond prices rallied following Bessent’s appointment.
5. AMZU – Direxion Daily AMZN Bull 1.5X Shares ETF
AMZU provides 1.5x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for shares of Amazon stock with ~11% weekly gains. Amazon’s stock rose as analysts believe a shorter holiday shopping season could benefit the tech giant.
6. LABU – Direxion Daily S&P Biotech Bull 3x Shares
The biotech fund, LABU, gained over 10% and was one of the top-performing levered ETFs on the list last week as the biotech sector gained by ~0.05%. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s openness to using psychedelics in therapeutic settings has led to a surge in biotech stocks focused on psychedelic research.
7. BABX – GraniteShares 1.75x Long BABA Daily ETF
BABX, which provides 1.75x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for shares of Alibaba Group Holding Limited stock, was one of the leveraged ETFs making the list with over ~10% weekly gains. Alibaba’s stock surged, buoyed by a strong earnings report following the company’s announcement of a new suite of open-source AI models and text-to-video AI technology.
8. NAIL – Direxion Daily Homebuilders & Supplies Bull 3X Shares
The NAIL ETF, which focuses on the US housing segment, was one of the contenders on the list of top-performing levered ETFs returning over ~8% amid declining Treasury yields. This could potentially lead to lower mortgage rates following President-elect Donald Trump’s selection of hedge fund manager Bessent for the Treasury secretary position.
9. EVAV – Direxion Daily Electric and Autonomous Vehicles Bull 2X Shares
EVAV, which tracks 2x the daily price movements of an index of US-listed electric and autonomous vehicles companies, was another contender on the list of top-performing levered ETFs as the electric vehicle sector is experiencing a boom, as the incoming Trump administration with Tesla CEO Elon Musk playing a key role, is expected to facilitate Tesla’s pursuit of self-driving cars and AI.
10. MSOX – AdvisorShares MSOS 2x Daily ETF
MSOX, which seeks to achieve 2x the total daily return of the AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (MSOS) through swap agreements, topped the list with a ~7% weekly return. US cannabis companies are experiencing a surge in optimism with Trump’s second term, his recent support for state-level legalization, and his nomination of pro-cannabis appointments.
