American Century Launches New Emerging Markets ETF

The ETF ecosystem grows with each passing day, with active ETFs in particular accelerating in recent years. American Century Investments launched a new active emerging markets ETF Wednesday as its own most recent contribution. The American Century Emerging Markets Insights ETF (ACEM) joins the firm’s recently expanded suite of insights-focused funds.Key Takeaways: American Century’s latest ETF launch targets emerging markets stocks under its “Insights” ETF suite. The fund combines a fundamental active research-driven approach with company specific takes. Emerging markets could appeal with lower valuations and a strong growth case in places like India. The new strategy from the asset manager, with more than $350 billion in assets, marries company-specific views with fundamental active research. ACEM looks to offer alpha potential within broader diversification that both outperforms index benchmarks and charges a lower fee than active rivals. ACEM will charge a 59 basis point (bps) fee. “American Century has a strong heritage of active management. It is great to see them continue to build out their lineup as advisors have been increasingly turning to emerging markets in 2026,” said VettaFi head of research Todd Rosenbluth, who added that emerging markets ETFs gathered an annual record $56 billion in YTD flows through October. ACEM is the latest fund to join American Century’s insights suite. In the last 13 months the firm has launched strategies like the American Century Small Cap Growth Insights ETF (ACSG A-). The shop also offers a mid cap growth ETF and a small cap value ETF to boost that suite. “ACEM expands our Insights ETF lineup, giving investors another option for their equity allocations within a suite shaped by client feedback,” said Victor Zhang, chief investment officer. “Each is designed to pursue added value over market benchmarks while also offering features clients are looking for like tax efficiency, transparency, and competitive fees" See more: 3 Reasons to Watch Quality International ETF QINT Now What might the fund have as its prospects?
