Top Performing Leveraged/Inverse ETFs Last WeekThese were last week’s top performing leveraged and inverse ETFs. Note that because of leverage, these kinds of funds can move quickly. Always do your homework.1. RIOX – Defiance Daily Target 2X Long RIOT ETF RIOX aims to provide 2x long daily price performance of Riot Platforms, Inc., focusing on cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency mining computers, topped the list with over 32% weekly gains. A surge in interest in stablecoins and tokenization, alongside a general resurgence of enthusiasm for crypto assets, led to an increase in the value of cryptocurrency-linked stocks. 2. HOOX – Defiance Daily Target 2X Long HOOD ETF HOOX seeks to provide 2x leveraged exposure to the daily share price movement of Robinhood Markets, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOOD), ranked second on the leveraged ETFs’ list with ~21% gains. Robinhood’s shares climbed following its strategic expansion into the European crypto market, aiming at fundamentally re-engineering its financial infrastructure. 3. DPST – Direxion Daily Regional Banks Bull 3X Shares DPST, which provides 3x leveraged exposure to an index of US regional banking stocks, was one of the top-performing levered ETFs following a strong June jobs report, fueling optimism in the U.S. economy. Post strong results from the Federal Reserve’s latest annual stress test, banks also announced plans to increase their third-quarter dividends. 4. RETL – Direxion Daily Retail Bull 3X Shares RETL offering 2x daily long leverage to the Russell 1000 RGS Retail Index, ranked fourth on the list with weekly returns of over 15%. Retail got a boost from the strong job market report in June. 5. CARU – MAX Auto Industry 3X Leveraged ETN CARU is an ETN that tracks 3x of the daily price movements of an index consisting of auto industry companies listed in the U.S. The ETN clocked ~15% weekly returns. U.S. auto sales for June 2025 are projected to maintain the mild pace set in May, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) expected to account for an estimated 7% of market share for both months. 6. FLYU – MicroSectors Travel 3x Leveraged ETN FLYU tracks 3x of the daily price movements of an index of US-listed travel-related companies, and was a contender on the list of leveraged ETFs last week. Stocks rallied amid surging market confidence and positive economic indicators. The Airlines segment increased by more than ~2% in the last five days 7. NAIL – Direxion Daily Homebuilders & Supplies Bull 3X Shares The NAIL ETF, focusing on the US housing segment, ranked among top-performing levered ETFs returning over ~13% amid range-bound Treasury yields. 8. IONX – Defiance Daily Target 2X Long IONQ ETF The Defiance Daily Target 2X Long IONQ ETF, which seeks daily leveraged investment results of two times the daily percentage change in the share price of IonQ Inc., was one of the levered ETFs this week. IONQ shares increased following an announcement of a $1.0 billion equity offering priced at a premium. 9. AAPX – T-Rex 2X Long Apple Daily Target ETF AAPX provides 2x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement of Apple, Inc. was one of the levered ETFs on the list. The week’s rally was sparked by a report suggesting the iPhone maker might integrate OpenAI or Anthropic technology into its Siri voice assistant. 10. AAPU – Direxion Daily AAPL Bull 2X Shares AAPU, which provides 2x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for shares of Apple stock, also featured on the list with over 12% weekly gains.
